Techmaster Oil Tools is a privately held Canadian company specialized in providing solution-driven products and services to the Oil & Gas industry. Techmaster Oil Tools International is a Calgary Alberta based company. We design and manufacture a variety of downhole drilling and completion tools for the Oil & Gas industry as well as Wellhead and Christmas Tree designed and sold from Canada, providing our domestic and international customers with innovative technologies and solutions. We are seeking an experienced full-time Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Calgary base. 

•Responsible for both R&D and sustaining engineering of innovative products, including drafting, design calculations, advanced FEA analysis, test plans, and reports. 

• Create, maintain and control documentation, manufacturing specifications, operation and service manuals, and testing records. Perform incident analysis, identifying root cause & corrective actions. 

• Provide manufacturing-related assistance such as in NCR’s (non-conformance reports) & dispositions. 

• Provide well documented technical reports (I.e. case studies, failure analysis, etc.). Provide global technical support for both potential and existing customers. 

• Assist the Sales Department with the support & preparation of technical literature. 

• Job Requirements Technical B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering Degree Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Solidworks is an asset) Preference will be given to candidates with relevant FEA / CFD software experience 

• Registered Professional Engineer or EIT with APEGA, or is eligible for registration Preferred Familiarity with ASME/ASTM, API Standards Strong understanding of metallurgy Interpersonal Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills 

• Strong attention to detail, relevant mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Legally entitled to work in Canada Ability to travel internationally
